This retreat will have as its foundational text the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola. Each day we will consider one or more of the key Exercises proposed by St. Ignatius, supplementing the Ignatian text with relevant passages from Scripture. For more than 5 centuries people of every walk of life have found Ignatius’ classic text is a reliable guide for preparing the person to encounter “The Creator and Lord who communicates Himself to the faithful soul in search of the will of God, as He embraces her in His love and praise, disposing her towards the way in which she will better serve Him in the future” (Spiritual Exercises, #15). Maureen Casey is Sister of Notre Dame de Namur who has been involved in retreat ministry and spiritual direction for the past 35 years. She also co-directs the Spiritual Direction Internship SDII held at the Sisters of St. Joseph in Brighton, MA. Her particular interests include scripture, the mystics, and the new cosmology and how they relate to God's passion for our ever=evolving universe
